Description
Sparrows, goldfinches, and titmice frolic through gilded Regency scrollwork on Françoise Façonnet’s “La Clé des Champs,” a design first issued in 1965 whose title is a French idiom for freedom and escape. This pale blue colorway is printed on Hermès jacquard silk, with a woven ribbon-and-bow ground that catches the light under the print. Hermès stopped using this fabric in the 1990s, which makes jacquard carrés like this one increasingly sought after. Soft blue, cream, and gold make it endlessly wearable: knot it at the neck, tie it on a bag handle, or wear it as a headscarf for full continental effect.
