Description
A quintessential piece of Chanel's late-1980s/early-1990s archive: the diamond quilted lambskin camera bag, built on the same structured box silhouette introduced when Coco Chanel's camera bags first appeared in the 1980s, inspired by photographers' equipment cases. Crafted in black lambskin leather with the signature diamond quilting pattern, this piece is finished with gold-tone hardware throughout, a woven leather-and-chain shoulder strap, and Chanel's iconic leather fringe tassel hanging from a gold cap at the zipper pull. The top zip closure and boxy silhouette make this a rare, highly collectible camera-bag style. Authenticity card included.
Condition
Interior seam wear at the top edge with minor fraying, where the underlying stitching thread shows through the leather — noted here upfront and visible in photos. Exterior shows light rubbing at the corners and edges consistent with age, with the quilting, stitching, and structure otherwise well-preserved and holding shape. Hardware retains strong gold tone with minimal tarnishing. Tassel is fully intact with no missing fringe. Interior lining shows light surface wear and creasing at the corners, typical of a bag this age. Gold "CHANEL®" stamp is clear and legible at the interior zip pocket.
